Empowering Green Mobility: Mapping Transit Inequity, EV Access, and Emissions in Georgia

New Research Publication: Empowering Green Mobility

After months of analyzing transportation systems, environmental exposure, and equity metrics across Georgia, Voices of Change has published a new research edition titled Empowering Green Mobility.

This study dives deep into the uneven geography of clean transportation in Atlanta, Albany, and Savannah—three cities that together reflect many of the structural challenges facing the EV and transit transition in the South.

📍 Key themes include:

  • EV charging infrastructure inequities

  • Rent burden and transit access

  • Air pollution exposure in marginalized neighborhoods

  • Spatial and policy analysis using GTFS, SVI, and emissions data

We developed equity-focused maps, an EV accessibility index, and policy recommendations to guide future investments.
